Khoury Architects completes luxury backland houses
Birmingham-based Khoury Architects has completed two energy-efficient, partially subterranean family homes in Solihull
The two 400m² family homes were built on a backland plot, and include home offices, games rooms, cold stores, wine cellars and swimming pools arranged around courtyards.
The subterranean levels of the homes were created using reinforced concrete floors and walls, while green roofs feature wildflower meadows.
Peter Knott, owner of 1 Chattock Gardens and developer of the site, said: ’The numerous sustainability features together with a fantastic design help to make the property the most wonderful family home for every possible occasion and we love living in it.’
