Village Homes Scheme Nears Completion in Glouchestershire

Construction work is now underway on the final properties at a new homes scheme in Thornbury.

Miller Homes is building the final private homes as part of its 250-home Cleve Wood development, part of a wider residential scheme off Morton Way in the village.

The housebuilder – whose West Midlands region is delivering the homes in Thornbury – is set to complete all work at the development by Spring 2026.

Miller Homes at Cleve Wood comprises a mix of two to four-bedroom homes, including affordable housing, an elderly care facility and a locally equipped area of play.

As part of the scheme, a total of 13 homes were built and offered to purchasers as ‘shell’ properties by Miller Homes, structurally completed with the opportunity for a buyer to design the internal for themselves.

The developer is now offering customers the choice between purchasing one of these homes as a ‘shell’ property, or having the remainder of the internal of the home completed by Miller Homes before occupation.

Carl Cooke, sales director of Miller Homes West Midlands, said: “The final homes are now under construction at Cleve Wood which marks a significant milestone for a development of 250 new homes which have helped transform this area of Gloucestershire.

“We only have a handful of homes remaining for sale across the development, which comprise our ‘shell’ homes which were originally built as external structures to offer customers with the opportunity to design the interior layout of their own home, which we’ve since extended to provide the choice between a blank canvas or a completed design, to suit our buyers’ preferences.

“The remaining homes to be built at Cleve Wood will all be ready before the spring of next year, so it won’t be long before we’re moving off site. We’d encourage anyone interested in the final homes for sale to speak with our sales team, to learn more about how we can help them to find a new home in a lovely village setting in Thornbury.”

In addition to delivering new homes in Thornbury, Miller Homes has engaged with the local community to support its existing services and facilities.

The developer donated funds to Crossways Schools to enable the purchase and installation of two new outdoor storage sheds to keep the schools’ playing equipment dry, all-year round.

A selection of three and four-bedroom homes remain available for purchase at Cleve Wood. Prices start from £399,950.
